Well, Christmas is just around the corner and most people are already starting to get the Christmas spirit. And they are looking forward to spending time with family and friends this Christmas.

Best Christmas Movies You Should Watch This Year
It is no secret that there are hundreds of XMAS movies out there, but who has the time to watch them all, right? And even if you do have the time, you probably have a hard time choosing which ones to watch.
So, here are the ten must-watch Christmas movies you should check out this year!
1. Last Christmas
Last Christmas was released in 2019 but continues to be my favorite till now.
Kate was having a hard time enjoying a boring life. She is a frustrated young London native who works as an elf (helper) in a year-long Christmas store. Things start to change beautifully when she meets Tom- a handsome charmer who seems too good to be real.
As the city changes into the most wonderful time of the year, Tom and Kate’s growing attraction turns into the best gift of all — a Yuletide romance.
Are you convinced to watch this one or do need I to say more? 😛
Last Christmas scored 6.5 out of 10 on IMDb and scored 46% on Rotten Tomatoes.

2. Love Hard
This one is on the list because it has been released recently and awaits more reviews.
What happens when you fall in love with someone on a dating app only to realize you have been catfished? That’s the plot of Love Hard in a nutshell.
Natalie (Nina Dobrev), a writer in L.A., has made a career out of writing about her awful love life.
After meeting her perfect match on a dating app, she flies 3,000 miles to surprise him for Christmas and finds out that she was interacting with a false identity.
Love Hard scored 6.3 out of 10 on IMDb. and 54% on Rotten Tomatoes.

3. The Princess Switch
A must-watch for anyone who loves rom-com.
The Princess Switch is a Christmas rom-com directed by Mike Gehl. The story is about a Duchess & a commoner who swap places after discovering they look exactly alike! But things get complicated when they each fall in love with a man who doesn’t know their true identity.
The Princess Switch has three parts: The Princess Switch, The Princess Switch: Switch Again, and The Princess Switch 3: Romancing The Star.
The plots of all three parts are interesting in their own way. The Princess Switch 3 was released on November 18, 2021.
The movie stars Vanessa Hudgens, Sam Palladio, Suanne Braun, and Nick Sagar.
The Princess Switch rated 6.1 out of 10 on IMDb and scored 71% Rotten Tomatoes. Can be watched on Netflix.
4. Christmas Chronicles
When Kate and Teddy noticed Santa Claus in their home, they were so excited that they ran down to his sleigh with his reindeer; however, the sleigh crashed and the presents were lost.
As Christmas morning approached, they needed to figure out a way to get all the presents before the house lights were turned on.
That’s what Christmas Chronicles is about. Sounds interesting enough?
The first part was released in November 2018 and the second part in November 2020 on Netflix.
The Christmas Chronicles scored 7 out of 10 on IMDb and earned 68% Rotten Tomatoes
5. A Christmas Prince
The next must-watch Christmas movie on the list is “A Christmas Prince”.
The movie is an American Christmas romantic comedy film directed by Alex Zamm which was released on Netflix in 2017.
The reporter goes undercover to find out what Prince Charming is really like by pretending to be his tutor. She falls in love, but will she be able to keep her secret from everyone?
In 2018 a sequel titled A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding was released and another one in 2019, titled A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.
A Christmas Prince scored 5.8 out of 10 on IMDb and earned 73% Rotten Tomatoes and is available on Netflix.
6. Holidate
A young woman living in Chicago who dislikes the holidays due to the judgment she receives from her family for being single is played by Emma Roberts.
Having recently broken up with her boyfriend, her mother Elaine is constantly trying to set her up with a new man, much to Sloane’s annoyance.
Her younger brother, York, gets engaged to his girlfriend of three months, Liz, and she is now the only single person in the family.
Relatable much?
The movie Holidate scored 6.1 out of 10 on IMDb and received a 44% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film is available to be watched on Netflix.
7. Happiest Season
Happiest Season is a delightful and uplifting romantic comedy, with the usual Christmas tropes combined to give you those warming feels.
But it’s also a festive coming-out story, with plenty of important messages and themes that thrive throughout.
It is about the need for family acceptance; it ties in emotional themes, signaling that the effort for acceptance can be damaging in itself.
Happiest Season scored 6.6 out of 10 on IMDb and 82% Rotten Tomatoes, one of the highest scores on this list.

8. Klaus
Klaus is an animated English-language Christmas film directed by Sergio Pablos. A simple act of kindness will always spark a response, even when it occurs in a frozen, faraway place.
When Smeerensburg’s new postman, Jesper, befriends toymaker Klaus, their gifts melt an age-old feud and deliver a sleigh full of holiday traditions.
J.K. Simons, a popular American actor, voiced the character of Klaus.

The film has won 7 seven awards at the 47th Annie Awards.

9. One Royal Holiday
One Royal Holiday has a charming star cast: Anna Jordan played by Laura Osnes, James Galant (The Prince) played by Aron Tveit, Tom McGowan played by Ed Jordan and Victoria Clark played by Gabriella Galant.
When Anna (Laura) offers a stranded mother and son shelter in a blizzard, she learns that they are the Royal Family of Galwick.
Anna shows the Prince (Aron) how they do Christmas in her hometown. All of this ultimately encourages him to open his heart and be true to himself.
One Royal Holiday was released in October 2020 on Hallmark Channel. Streaming platforms for this film are very limited.
One Royal Holiday received a 7.1 score on IMDb out of 10. Available on iTunes.
10. Home for Christmas
Home for Christmas is a Norwegian television series that has two seasons. One of which dropped in 2019 on Netflix and the other one in 2020. Moreover, Ida Elise Broch stars as Johanne in the Series.
Johanne is a 30-year old woman who is constantly bombarded by comments about her single life. Society’s expectations of the perfect family Christmas finally get to her. She decides to take matters into her hand and starts a 24-day hunt for a partner she could take home on Christmas.
Unlike all other recommendations, this one is not a film but a TV series. But I am sure you would like this romantic drama series.
This TV series scores 7.7 out of 10 on IMDb and 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. Watch it on Netflix today.
